Actor John Goodman, 72, is recovering from a hip injury sustained on the set of director Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s latest film. A Warner Bros. Pictures spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating that Goodman received immediate medical attention, resulting in a brief pause in filming to allow for his recovery. Production is set to resume next week once he has fully recuperated. The untitled project, also featuring Tom Cruise, Jesse Plemons, and Riz Ahmed, is being shot at Pinewood Studios in England and is slated for release on Oct. 2, 2026. In addition to this film, Goodman has other upcoming projects in preproduction, such as Chili Finger and Smurfs. Iñárritu, known for acclaimed works like “21 Grams,” “Babel,” and “Birdman,” has garnered critical acclaim throughout his career.
