Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Officially Single!

“Hollywood Power Couple’s Surprising New Relationship Status”
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck officially finalized their divorce on Friday, with a Los Angeles Superior Court judge approving their settlement on Jan. 6. The divorce will officially take effect on Feb. 21, marking the end of their two-year marriage since Lopez filed for dissolution. The couple was able to reach an agreement through mediation in September, steering clear of a prolonged and public court battle commonly seen among celebrity couples.
Following the divorce, Lopez has reverted to her maiden name, dropping the Affleck surname from her legal identity. While the financial specifics of the settlement remain undisclosed, it has been confirmed that neither party will be providing spousal support to the other. As they do not share any children, custody arrangements were not a point of contention in the divorce proceedings.
The high-profile duo first tied the knot in July 2022, but the marriage came to an end when Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024, citing a separation that occurred more than a year prior. This was not the first time the pair had been romantically linked, as they previously dated in the early 2000s, leading to an engagement and collaborations on films such as “Gigli” and “Jersey Girl” in 2004. Their initial relationship concluded shortly after, partly due to the pressures of public scrutiny.
Despite their past, Lopez and Affleck surprised fans by rekindling their romance two decades later and exchanging vows once again. Affleck had previously been married to Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children, before their divorce in 2018. Lopez, on the other hand, has been married four times and is a mother to twins from her previous marriage to singer Marc Anthony.
