Country music star Jelly Roll has been dedicated to his weight loss journey after revealing his struggle with food addiction, similarly to his past battle with drugs. In October, the “Save Me” singer announced a significant milestone on Instagram, expressing his determination to transform his physique. In a recent video, Jelly Roll, also known as Jason Bradley DeFord, showcased his progress alongside his nutrition coach, Ian Larios. Larios commended Jelly’s commitment to a high-protein diet and active lifestyle, leading to a remarkable 100-pound weight loss. Fans were amazed by Jelly Roll’s transformation, as he shared insights into his healthy eating habits, including a favorite snack of banana with Manuka honey and dark chocolate shavings. Meanwhile, Jessica Simpson has also captivated audiences with her remarkable weight loss and newfound sobriety. After a hiatus from music, fans eagerly anticipate her upcoming album, celebrating her resilience and beauty. Despite facing criticism online, Jessica remains steadfast in her journey, showcasing her strength and determination on social media.
Kathy Bates clarified rumors about her weight loss journey and the use of Ozempic after shedding 100 pounds over seven years since being sober in 2017. Bates acknowledged using the medication but emphasized the hard work she put in mentally and physically. Prior to turning to Ozempic, she had already lost 80 pounds on her own. While acknowledging the drug’s assistance in shedding an additional 20 pounds, Bates emphasized that her weight loss was a result of her dedication, particularly during the challenges posed by the pandemic. Bates’ motivation to take control of her health stemmed from her type 2 diabetes diagnosis in 2017, prompting her to change her diet and adopt healthier habits. The weight loss not only improved her overall well-being but also alleviated symptoms of lymphedema. In contrast, Tom Arnold shared his weight loss journey starting from 285 pounds to 205 pounds after a health scare that led him to prioritize his health. He partnered with a fitness guru following a ministroke in January 2022 and expressed skepticism towards using weight-loss drugs like Ozempic, highlighting his caution due to being sober. Arnold acknowledged trying various diets over the years, including past experiences with Fen-Phen and its adverse effects, emphasizing the importance of finding a healthy approach to weight loss.
“Engaging in physical fitness, particularly the cardiovascular aspect, has significantly benefitted my mental health and sobriety,” shared Arnold, who proudly marks seven years of sobriety. Marvel star Dave Bautista revealed in 2024 the extreme measures he took to maintain a dramatic 75-pound weight loss.
“I began my weight loss journey because I had gained excess weight,” Bautista disclosed during an interview on “INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet” on YouTube in September. “I had bulked up substantially for a role, reaching around 315 pounds in a short period by consuming copious amounts of French fries and pancakes.”
Recalling his weight gain for the 2023 psychological horror film “Knock at the Cabin,” Bautista expressed regret over the extent of his physical transformation. “Looking back, I believe I may have gone too far. I carried an uncomfortable amount of weight, and shedding it proved to be a lengthy process.”
The actor highlighted the positive impacts of his weight loss journey, emphasizing how he felt better as he shed the pounds. Bautista detailed his daily caloric intake of 2,500 calories and adopted intermittent fasting as part of his dietary routine. “As I slimmed down, I noticed improvements in my on-screen appearance and how I compared to fellow actors. Even at 6’4″ and 240 pounds, I felt my size could be overpowering next to others, which could be distracting.”
Responding to concerns raised by fans regarding his striking weight loss, Bautista acknowledged the sacrifices he was making to maintain his trim physique. “I anticipate losing a few more pounds. Achieving this level of leanness is demanding; my training regimen is intense, and my calorie intake is restricted.”
In addition to his caloric limit, Bautista outlined his diet regulations, including refraining from eating within three to four hours of bedtime. “It’s a dedicated effort to maintain this physique,” he affirmed.
