Jason Kelce’s Late Night Show ‘Philly Roots’ Premieres with Epic Beer Chug!

Jason Kelce has officially entered his late-night talk show phase with the debut of “Late Night with Jason Kelce” on ESPN. The premiere episode on Jan. 4 featured guests like Jimmy Kimmel, Charles Barkley, and Lil Dicky. Kelce, 37, humorously reflected on how his parents letting him stay up late as a child to watch TV led to this moment. His wife, Kylie Kelce, made a special appearance with a viewer discretion disclaimer, and he interacted with guests like Harold Carmichael. The show included segments with Kimmel, a panel chat with Barkley, Lil Dicky, and Brian Baldinger, and a beer-chugging contest. Kelce emphasized the importance of including Philadelphia roots in the show, which will evolve to have a national feel. ESPN described the program as a personality-driven hour-long show, with each episode featuring celebrity guests, NFL discussions, comedy, and live music. Kelce initially announced the show during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in November.

“I have a late-night show during the postseason on ESPN,” he said at the time. “It’s going to be airing every Friday.” Related: Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce: Everything to Know About the NFL Brothers. “When I first approached ESPN with potentially working for them, Monday Night Football was a big part of that, Monday Night Countdown,” Kelce added. Following his appearance on the late-night program, Kelce revealed on his podcast, New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce, on Nov. 27, that Kimmel, 57, gave him tons of advice regarding his new career venture. “I got to see Jimmy Kimmel this past week and I thought it was absurd. It was hilarious,” Kelce said at the time. “Jimmy was the man, offered tons of advice, got to follow him around all day.” Read the original article on People.
