Jarrett Allen’s Jaw-Dropping Halfcourt Shot!

The Cleveland Cavaliers have made an impressive start to the 2024-25 season, with center Jarrett Allen showcasing his skills before Monday night’s game against the Utah Jazz. Prior to tip-off, the game had a slight delay due to an issue with one of the rims at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. Allen took the opportunity to entertain the crowd and keep himself warmed up by attempting a trick shot from halfcourt. To the amazement of the spectators, Allen successfully sank the backward shot, eliciting a wild reaction from the arena.

Allen, an All-Star center, has been a key player for the Cavaliers this season, averaging 13.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. In addition to his scoring and rebounding prowess, he contributes defensively with an average of one steal and nearly one block per game. Allen’s defensive skills were recognized last season when he received votes for the Defensive Player of the Year award.

Having been with the Cavaliers for his fourth full season, Allen was acquired midway through the 2020-21 season from the Brooklyn Nets in a significant trade that involved James Harden moving to the Eastern Conference. Cleveland has emerged as a standout team in the NBA this season, showcasing their dominance by starting the year with an impressive 15-game winning streak and maintaining a strong performance despite a few losses. As they faced the Utah Jazz, the Cavaliers had only suffered a single defeat in the month of December.

Heading into the game, the Cavaliers aimed to secure a top position in the Eastern Conference standings as they looked forward to the upcoming postseason. With a three-day break before embarking on a four-game road trip, starting with a matchup against the Denver Nuggets, the team sought to maintain their winning momentum. The Cavaliers have proven to be a force to be reckoned with this season, demonstrating their determination and skill on the court.
