Intriguing New Chip Flavor Ignites Curiosity

When it comes to snacking, we can always rely on companies to push the boundaries with their inventive—and sometimes quirky—flavors. From Doritos Golden Sriracha to Pringles teaming up with Miller Lite for a beer can chicken-inspired crisp, it seems like every brand has introduced a fresh and imaginative flavor in the past year. While we all love Lay’s classic taco- and garlic bread-flavored chips, there is a brand that stands out for its trendsetting flavor releases: Kettle.

Known for their kettle-cooked potato chips, Kettle has brought to the table a wide array of flavors ranging from pepperonchini and pimento cheese to chips cooked in an air fryer for a lower fat content. More recently, they’ve been embracing global flavors inspired by our favorite cuisines, such as Tex-Mex Spicy Queso and Korean Gochujang.

The latest addition to Kettle Brand’s lineup is a limited-edition flavor that draws inspiration from a popular Mexican condiment that has taken social media by storm. Introducing the new Kettle Brand Chamoy-flavored potato chips.

With the ongoing craze for sweet and spicy (“swicy”) flavors, Kettle Brand is diving into the mix with this fruity and chili-infused flavor. The Chamoy chips capture the essence of the Mexican condiment made from a blend of fruits, chilies, and spices. These potato chips offer a unique combination of sweetness, tanginess, and just a hint of spiciness, featuring notes of mango and lime.

The rise of the sauce’s popularity on platforms like TikTok can be attributed to the Chamoy Pickle, a culinary creation that garnered attention for its delightful blend of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors. By soaking a dill pickle in chamoy, it transforms into a vibrant red hue and introduces a fruity tanginess to the traditional salty pickle.

Kettle Brand shares that the decision to create this flavor was influenced by the remarkable 282% increase in chamoy’s popularity over the past couple of years. Despite having a devoted fan base, chamoy-flavored potato chips have not been widely available until now. Kettle’s crispy and kettle-cooked chips coated with a zesty, fruity, and spicy seasoning are the first of their kind to hit store shelves nationwide.

This distinctive flavor has been added to the Kettle Brand lineup for a limited time, starting this month and running through February 2026. You can find the limited-edition Kettle Chamoy chips at major retailers for $5.29 per bag.

If you’ve been curious about trying the chamoy trend but didn’t know where to begin, these new Kettle chips are an excellent choice to dive right in.
