ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Jalen Suggs has incurred a left knee injury that has rendered him out of the game indefinitely, marking a setback in what had been a promising season for the Orlando guard. The Magic announced on Friday that Suggs had suffered a trochlea injury, which was detected as he struggled with discomfort while attempting to make a comeback from a bruised left quadriceps that had kept him on the sidelines for the past month.
Throughout the current season, Suggs has been averaging 16.2 points per game, showcasing his talent on the court. Despite his impressive performance, he has only been able to participate in 35 games due to various health issues. The No. 4 overall pick in the 2021 draft missed 10 games in January due to a low back strain and subsequently sat out the last 14 games due to the quadriceps injury.
The Magic have revealed that a comprehensive treatment plan is currently in development, and they anticipate a full recovery for Suggs in the near future.
