If the jet stream interacts with upper-level storm energy originating from the Pacific Ocean, this system could become heavily saturated with moisture, resulting in a formidable storm system.
“The key question at hand is whether this system will veer out to sea or move closer to the coast. The possibilities are wide open,” noted meteorologist Sarsalari.
According to the FOX Forecast Center, computerized forecast models are expected to converge on a more unified outlook within the next day or two, offering a clearer answer to the prevailing uncertainty: Will the Northeast and mid-Atlantic regions be hit by a nor’easter this week?
