GoFundMe for Dane Koteski Tragically, the CEO of a trucking company in Illinois, Dane Koteski, was discovered deceased in a fire-ravaged building last week. Authorities have arrested one of his own employees in connection with the incident. Koteski, aged 46, led ATG Truckload and was found dead at the company’s Crestwood offices on March 5. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office classified his death as a homicide due to neck injuries from a sharp object. A thorough investigation involving the Crestwood Police Department, South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force, and State Fire Marshals quickly led to the apprehension of a suspect, identified as an employee of the victim. The crime was determined to be an isolated incident targeting Koteski specifically. The suspect was taken into custody at a truck stop in Holland, Mich., and is awaiting extradition back to Illinois. A neighbor mentioned that Koteski, originally from Macedonia, was a devoted father with ties to a local Serbian church. A GoFundMe campaign has been started to assist with funeral expenses and his son’s college education. Koteski is fondly remembered for his benevolence, companionship, and as a beloved father and family member.
