A heartwarming video captured the emotional moment when bride Kaci Wilson met 7-year-old Saleh Ahmad, who received the heart of Wilson’s deceased son Myles. The touching encounter took place at a wedding on May 25, as the two shared tears in a heartfelt embrace. Saleh, who was born with a chronic heart condition and spent most of his early years in the hospital, had been on an organ recipient waitlist for three years before receiving Myles’ heart in April of 2023.
Yara Ahmad, Saleh’s mother, described the moment as filled with tears of happiness and gratitude for the gift of life her son received. She explained to Saleh the circumstances surrounding his new heart, telling him about Myles and how he is now watching over him from above. The families kept in touch over the years, leading to Saleh and his family being invited to Wilson’s wedding.
During the wedding, Saleh’s father brought a stethoscope, allowing Wilson to hear her late son’s heartbeat once more, adding to the emotional significance of the event. To symbolize their bond, Saleh walked down the aisle hand-in-hand with Wilson, further solidifying the connection between them. Wilson expressed that this experience was the closest she had felt to Myles since his passing, highlighting the deep impact of their meeting.
