Actor Nick Moran, best known for his role as Scabior in the Harry Potter films, recently underwent emergency spinal surgery after discovering that the pain in his neck was due to spinal cord damage. The 55-year-old had the operation a week ago and is now back home on the path to recovery. Moran’s friend revealed that the surgery was necessary to prevent potential paralysis and speech impairment. The procedure involved the replacement of four bones in his neck with artificial bone. Despite the risks, Moran is now speaking and moving, though he has a long recovery ahead. In addition to his Harry Potter role, Moran also appeared in the film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
