Harrowing Bodycam Footage Captures Woman’s Escape Attempt!

Newly released bodycam footage captures the dramatic rescue of a woman and her stepson from a house fire in Connecticut. Kimberly Sullivan, 56, is seen trying to save her stepson, whom she is accused of holding captive for 20 years. The video shows a Waterbury firefighter approaching Sullivan, who is calling out to the victim from outside the burning property. Sullivan is heard urging the victim to come out and is seen holding her pet dog. The firefighter asks Sullivan about other occupants in the house, and she mentions her stepson and two cats. The victim is eventually rescued by first responders and taken to the hospital. Sullivan, who was arrested and charged with various offenses, including assault and kidnapping, maintains that her late husband was in control of decisions regarding her stepson’s care. Her lawyer argues that she never locked him up or prevented him from showering. Sullivan is scheduled to appear in court on March 26 to address the felony charges against her.
