HALIFAX, Nova Scotia (AP) — The Canadian Transportation Safety Board has launched an investigation into an incident involving an aircraft at Halifax Stanfield International Airport, as reported by a passenger who recounted a harrowing landing accompanied by flames.
Nikki Valentine, a passenger aboard the PAL Airlines flight, vividly recalled the unsettling moment when the plane touched down on Saturday night. “We felt a massive rumble upon landing,” she shared, her voice tinged with the remnants of the unsettling experience. “The cabin tilted, sparks ignited, flames flickered into existence, and smoke ominously snaked its way into the passenger compartment.”
