Australia-based telecom company Telstra said the global outage was caused by a global problem affecting both Microsoft and CrowdStrike.

AUSTRALIA

"If you are experiencing outages this afternoon while trying to reach us, it is because of a global issue affecting both Microsoft and CrowdStrike. Calls to our Triple Zero call centers or our fixed and mobile network have no impact. Like many of those affected, we are working with both organizations to get everything back online as soon as possible. We will keep you updated. We are making calls to Papua New Guinea free of charge."

Sydney Airport in Australia said, "A global technical disruption has affected some airline operations and terminal services. Flights are currently landing and taking off but there may be some delays in the evening. We have activated our contingency plans and deployed additional staff to our terminals. If you are traveling today, make sure you allow plenty of time to get to the airport and check with your airline about the status of your flight."

NETHERLANDS

In a statement from Schipol, the airport in the Dutch capital Amsterdam, "There is currently a global system failure. This disruption also affects flights to and from Schiphol.The impact is currently being mapped. Do you have a question about your flight? Please contact your airline."

UK

UK-based media outlet Sky News suspended its broadcast due to the blackout."SkyNews was unable to broadcast live TV this morning and is now telling viewers that we apologize for the outage.Most of our news is still available online and we are working hard to restore all services."

Railway company Thameslink said: "We are currently experiencing widespread IT issues across our entire network. Our IT teams are actively investigating to identify the root cause of the problem. We are unable to access driver schemes at certain locations, leading to possible short-term cancelations, particularly on the Thameslink and Great Northern networks."

GERMANY

Berlin Brandenburg Airport in Germany announced "Information for passengers: Due to a technical malfunction, there will be delays in check-in".

INDIA

"Due to infrastructure issues with our service provider, some of our online services including booking, check-in and reservation management services will be temporarily unavailable.We are currently following manual check-in and boarding processes at airports and therefore request passengers with urgent travel plans to arrive at the airport early and check-in at our counters."

Spice Jet said, "We are currently facing a technical issue in providing updates regarding flight disruptions.Our team is actively working to resolve this issue."UK-based Sky Sports News said, "Due to a global technical issue, Sky Sports News is currently unable to broadcast live. You can use the Sky Sports app or website for the latest sports news, scores and action."It was announced that the online examination system of the NHS, the UK health services organization, had a technical error.

POLAND CONTAINER TERMINAL

Baltic Hub, the country's largest container terminal, based in Poland, said, "We would like to inform you that at Baltic Hub we are struggling with a global malfunction in Microsoft operating systems that prevents the functioning of the terminal.We are working to resolve the issue. We will inform you as soon as the fault is fixed, please do not go to the Terminal."

SYSTEMS STARTED TO WORK IN SPAINAENA, which manages 46 airports in Spain, said in a statement after the outage: "Aena is currently recovering some of its systems after suffering the effects of a global computer crash that affected companies worldwide.

All airports are operational but some processes are slower.

Airlines and airports operated by other international operators are also trying to recover their systems."

India-based Delhi Airport: "Due to the global IT issue, some services at Delhi Airport have been temporarily affected.We are working closely with all our stakeholders to minimize the inconvenience to our passengers."

Capitec Bank, a South Africa-based banking operation: "Due to an unexpected issue with an international service provider, we are currently experiencing service disruptions across the country. Notes: Card payments and Capitec ATMs are working and your account is safe. We are resolving the issue as soon as possible. We apologize for this inconvenience."
