During the Somernites Cruise festival in Somerset, a stunt driver amazed hundreds by launching a replica of the iconic General Lee car from “The Dukes of Hazzard” into the air, flying 150 feet above a Kentucky fountain. The crowd cheered as Raymond Kohn skillfully executed the high-flying stunt, reminiscent of the beloved TV series, landing successfully despite losing a door and bumper in the impact. The car narrowly missed a cameraman as it bounced along the road, showcasing Kohn’s 30th stunt performance with the General Lee. Despite the rough appearance of the landing, Kohn expressed relief and gratitude for the successful jump, emphasizing the intense focus required in such a risky endeavor. Festival attendees also had the opportunity to meet and interact with stars from “The Dukes of Hazzard,” adding to the excitement of the event.
