Elon Musk announced that the card sharing feature that he introduced on X, formerly Twitter, in the past months will be removed and the titles related to the link will be shown as before.
In a post on X, Musk said that an upcoming update will bring the title back to the top of the URL card image.
STOPPED SHOWING TITLES
In August, Tesla's CEO said he planned to stop showing titles with URLs in previews to make the X look more aesthetically pleasing.
The company stopped showing the titles in October following the announcement.
Because of this change, users had to click or tap on the URL card to learn or read the title.
To get around this change, publishers began overwriting images with their own captions and either publishing the link separately or including the caption in the image of the generated preview card.
