Tsunami alert in the ocean!

A 6.7 magnitude earthquake occurred in Vanuatu, one of the island countries in the Pacific.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) announced that a 6.7 magnitude earthquake occurred 98 kilometres off the coast of Vanuatu's Port Orly town.

In the earthquake recorded at a depth of 22 kilometres, no loss of life or property was reported according to the first determinations. The Australian Tsunami Warning Centre (JATWC) announced that there is no tsunami danger.

MAGNITUDE 6 EARTHQUAKE IN INDONESIA

The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the 6-magnitude earthquake, whose epicentre was 93 kilometres west of Tobelo district on Halmahera Island in the east of the country, was recorded at a depth of 119 kilometres.

The Indonesian Meteorological, Climate and Geophysical Agency announced that there was no danger of tsunami, but warned of possible aftershocks.
