The competition "The laziest citizen of the country" organized in Montenegro has been going on since August 18 in the city of Niksic. The winner of the contest will be chosen as the laziest citizen in the world and will receive a prize of 1000 euros.

ONLY 3 PEOPLE LEFT One of the humorous traditions of the country, the "long lie down" contest has been going on for days and has left the 46th day behind. Starting with 21 participants, there are only 3 left in the contest.

IT WAS A CONTEST ORGANIZED FOR MOCKERY The organizer of the competition, Radonja Blagojevic, said that this interesting competition was organized under the myth that Montenegrins are lazy. he said he started 12 years ago to make fun of me.

THEY MEET ALL THEIR NEEDS LYING DOWN The rules of the competition are as interesting as the competition itself. Participants who compete lying down are allowed to sleep, meet their food and beverage needs, read books and use their cell phones.

THEY CAN STAND UP FOR 10 MINUTES EVERY 8 HOURS But the contestants are not allowed to stand up. They can only stand up for 10 minutes every 8 hours to take care of their personal needs.

THEY LIE IN BED FOR MORE THAN 1100 HOURS The 12th edition of this year's competition has entered its 46th day and the contestants have left 1100 hours behind. 38-year-old Dubracka Aksic, the champion of the competition in 2021, told the press: "We all feel great and we have no health problems. They spoil us, all we have to do is go to bed."
