The European Union has granted candidate status!

The European Union (EU) has granted candidate status to Georgia and decided to open accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova.

EU Council President Charles Michel X made a statement on the social media platform.

In his statement, he said that the EU has decided to grant candidate status to Georgia and plans to start accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova.

Michel also stated that negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina will also start if the necessary membership criteria are met.
