Severe storm and tornado in the US: 6 people dead!

A tornado broke out in the US state of Tennessee. Due to the severe storm and tornadoes that were effective in some parts of the state, 3 people died in Nashville and 3 people, including a child, died in Clarksville.

Authorities in the Montgomery district of Clarksville stated that 23 people who were injured due to severe storms and tornadoes were hospitalized.

While buildings were badly damaged in the tornado, 150 thousand people in the state were left without electricity. Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts announced a curfew and state of emergency in the city due to the storm, which is expected to continue today.

Pitts said, "We are sorry for the families who lost loved ones in this devastating event. As a municipality, we stand ready to help them in their time of grief." Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell said in a statement, "Today, a storm turned the world upside down for many in our community," and declared a state of emergency in the city.
