It was announced that the head of Kelvin Security, which is considered one of the most active hacker groups in the world and has carried out more than 300 attacks in more than 90 countries in the last three years, was arrested in Alicante, Spain.

In a statement released by the Spanish National Police, it was reported that the person who was arrested at his home in an operation carried out on the morning of December 9 after a two-year investigation was a Venezuelan citizen. The person in question was charged with being a member of a criminal organization, disclosing secrets and money laundering, and was sent to prison to be tried in pre-trial detention by the Alicante Court.

It was also stated that the criminal group, which was reported to have actively organized attacks on official institutions in the USA, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Chile and Japan, was laundering the money obtained by the criminal group and operated by exchanging it for cryptocurrencies, through the person arrested in Alicante.

MORE THAN 300 ATTACKS IN 90 COUNTRIES Noting that the first information about the Kevin Security group dates back to 2013, the Spanish National Police announced that the criminal organization, which profits from the sale of all illegally obtained information, made its last attack in November 2023 at the headquarters of a multinational energy company with more than 85 thousand customers.
