Judicial blow to the Trump Family! 'He defrauded many people for years'

Former US President Donald Trump, who appears to be ahead in the polls for next year's presidential elections, has been dealt another "judicial blow". This time the target is Trump's real estate empire.

A US court has ruled that former US President Donald Trump defrauded numerous individuals and institutions during the years he built his real estate empire. In a civil lawsuit filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James, the former president and his "Trump Organization" defrauded banks, insurers and others by overvaluing his assets and overstating his net worth in deals and financing documents.

HIS CHILDREN ALSO CHARGED In a 35-page ruling, Judge Arthur Engoron found that Trump and his company and its executives obtained favorable loans and low insurance premiums by repeatedly lying about their annual financial condition. Engoron ordered the revocation of some of Trump's business licenses to make it harder for him to do business in New York and said the company's operations would be overseen by an independent monitor.

In the indictment, which alleges that Trump overstated the wealth of his three eldest children and his company by $3.6 billion, the attorney general asks the judge to prohibit Trump and his children from establishing any more companies in New York and purchasing commercial real estate for 5 years, and to impose a fine of 250 million dollars.

TRUMP: FOR DOING MY JOB PERFECTLY... After the verdict was announced, Trump slammed the court, saying, "My civil rights are being taken away." Describing the fraud charge against him as "bullshit", the former President said on his social media platform Truth Social: "Today is a very sad day for New York justice. They are letting criminals walk on the sidewalk while they judge me for doing my job perfectly."

Trump argued that this decision would cause thousands of companies to flee New York. Attorney General Letitia James had previously sued Trump for using his charity for political and business interests, and the former US President Trump, who was found guilty, was sentenced to pay $2 million to a number of charities as a penalty and the Trump Foundation was shut down.

Trump, who is still being prosecuted on a number of charges, surrendered to the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta last month in connection with a lawsuit in the state of Georgia for interfering in the 2020 election results and was released on bail. Trump was the first former US President to have his mugshot taken.
