In the statement made by the World Bank, it was shared that $ 12 billion support will be provided to Kenya in the next 3 years.

In the statement, it was noted that Kenya aims to become an upper-middle-income country by 2030 with the support provided, and it was stated that the World Bank is one of Kenya's strongest partners and the largest provider of development finance.

With the economic aid approved by the World Bank, Kenya's economy is aimed to be less exposed to external influences.

Kenyan President William Ruto also expressed their satisfaction with the World Bank's request for support.

Speaking at the New Global Financial Pact Summit, where world leaders met in June, Ruto criticised that a group of minorities had a say in the management of the IMF and the World Bank and that an alternative institution was needed.
