Do you know Frank Loesser's song "Baby, It's Cold Outside" written in 1944 and made famous by the 1949 movie "Neptune's Daughter"? Now, just like in that song, it is necessary to add after saying "It's cold outside, baby": But go to bed naked anyway! At this time of the year, when it is cold outside, you may be one of those who go to bed wearing your pajamas or maybe socks. Even so, you may not want to get out of bed in the morning because you are shivering. However, experts still recommend sleeping with your clothes off. They emphasize that sleeping naked is beneficial for both physical and mental health and has a positive effect on the hours after waking up.

"While many people think that dressing warmly in winter is the best way to stay warm, sleeping naked improves sleep quality by balancing body temperature," said British sleep expert and psychotherapist Sammy Margo. "This is a surprising but effective way to stay warm and cozy during the colder months, as well as giving our bodies a much-needed health boost," said Margo. If you're still not convinced, the expert listed the benefits of sleeping naked:

FALL ASLEEP FASTER Body temperature plays a crucial role in the timing of your sleep. This is linked to your circadian rhythm, your internal body clock that controls your sleep/wake cycle. Falling into a deep sleep is linked to your body cooling down, so allowing your body to cool down by sleeping naked can signal to you that it's time to sleep. This means you will potentially fall asleep faster and transition into a restful sleep. IMPROVES COMPLEXION It is very important to remove your makeup before going to bed to prevent clogged pores that can lead to skin problems. But the same principle applies to your whole body. Sleeping without clothes can facilitate better skin ventilation and reduce the likelihood of skin problems such as acne, as your skin can breathe freely and maintain its health.

INCREASES SELF-CONFIDENCE Sleeping naked can boost your self-esteem and body image as it encourages you to embrace your natural state. INCREASES SINCERITY AND EMOTIONAL CONNECTION Sleeping naked with your partner in winter can lead to increased physical and emotional intimacy. It encourages skin-to-skin contact, which can release oxytocin, a hormone associated with bonding and trust, which ultimately improves your relationship.
