Americans' wealth has melted!

The net wealth of households in the US decreased by 0.9 percent in the third quarter of this year compared to the previous quarter to about 151 trillion dollars

The US Federal Reserve (Fed) published the "Financial Accounts of the United States" report for the July-September period.

Accordingly, the net wealth of households in the country was recorded as approximately 151 trillion dollars in the third quarter of this year.

Household wealth, which decreased by 0.9 percent in the third quarter of the year compared to the previous quarter, increased by 5.7 percent compared to the same period of 2022.

Household net wealth in the US was calculated as 146.6 trillion dollars in the first quarter of this year and 152.3 trillion dollars in the second quarter.

INCREASE DECREASED FROM 2.7 PERCENT TO 2.5 PERCENT The decline in total household wealth in the third quarter of the year was driven by a $1.7 trillion decline in the value of American equities, offset by a $500 billion increase in the total value of real estate.

The increase in American household debt declined from 2.7 percent to 2.5 percent in the third quarter of this year. In the said period, consumer loans increased by 1.1 percent and mortgage debt by 2.5 percent.
