In May, Amazon introduced Vulcan, a groundbreaking robot revolutionizing automation technology. Teradyne’s stock surged after reports revealed their role in supplying Vulcan’s advanced limbs. Hunterbrook and Citrini Research disclosed that Universal Robots, acquired by Teradyne in 2015, produces Vulcan’s limbs. Teradyne stock rose 6.3% on Thursday, with Hunterbrook branding them a strategic player in AI and robotics sectors. Despite volatility, Teradyne’s stock settled at $97.05 on Friday, following gains. CEO Greg Smith highlighted the robotics division’s success amidst challenging macro conditions, securing a record order. Hunterbrook’s report connected Amazon to Teradyne, emphasizing Vulcan’s innovative touch technology for efficient item handling in fulfillment centers. Smith projected advanced robotics as a key growth area, aiming to outpace competitors in the underexplored market segment. Teradyne and Amazon declined to comment on the report.
