Octavio Dotel, a former MLB pitcher, has tragically passed away from injuries sustained during a mass casualty incident at a nightclub in the Dominican Republic. Dotel was pronounced dead at a local hospital after being rescued from the wreckage of a roof collapse at Jet Set nightclub in Santo Domingo, where over 44 people lost their lives and more than 130 were injured. Rodriguez shared, “Heartbreaking news: Despite being saved from the nightclub debris, former MLB player and World Series champion Octavio Dotel has succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
