Former Google CEO Takes On Space Race!

Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt transitioned to become the CEO of rocket startup Relativity Space, which aspires to develop reusable rockets and establish an industrial base on Mars. Schmidt, who was at the helm of Google from 2001 to 2011, has provided significant financial support to the company, according to outgoing leader Tim Ellis. Relativity Space, renowned for being the first to launch 3D printed rockets into space, is currently working on its Terran R launch vehicle, set to be unveiled in the coming years. The company, valued at over $4 billion in 2021, has attracted investments from notable entities such as BlackRock, Fidelity, and Mark Cuban. Schmidt’s leadership is anticipated to drive competition with industry giants like SpaceX and Blue Origin as Relativity Space aims to revolutionize the rocket sector by introducing reusable technology.
