Woman Seeks Revenge by Shooting Ex’s Married Cousin in the Face
A woman from Florida who had recently been dumped took extreme measures to exact revenge on her ex-boyfriend after spotting him with another woman in his car. Little did she know, the other woman turned out to be his married cousin. The incident unfolded when Latorray Collins, aged 38, had been bombarding her ex with phone calls following their breakup, only to be met with silence on his end. Fueled by anger and jealousy, Collins managed to track down her ex and his cousin, identified as Latasha Taylor, a 42-year-old married mother, as they were on their way to a restaurant in Jacksonville one Saturday night.
Collins intercepted the vehicle at a red light and proceeded to block her ex with her own car. She then leaped out of her vehicle and aggressively pounded on his car window. The situation quickly escalated into a heated argument, during which Collins pulled out a gun and fired shots at the unsuspecting Latasha Taylor. Tragically, Taylor was struck in the face and was left in critical condition as a result of the violent act.
Following the harrowing incident, family members revealed that Latasha Taylor had been on her way to meet other relatives for dinner when the altercation unfolded. Her devastated husband, Tony Taylor, shared that the couple had been gearing up to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary. Describing his wife as a selfless individual who always prioritized the needs of others, Tony Taylor expressed shock and sadness over the senseless attack.
In the aftermath of the shooting, Latorray Collins was taken into custody and charged with attempted murder in the second degree. She remains incarcerated with a bond set at $250,000, highlighting the severity of the crime that transpired that fateful evening in Jacksonville.
