Fiancé Calls Pregnant Woman Selfish for Dinner Choice!

Pregnant Woman Faces Criticism for Wanting Separate Meal

A pregnant woman shared her frustration after her fiancé accused her of being selfish for preparing a separate dinner for herself without sharing with him, even though she had cooked a full meal for him. The woman, who is three months pregnant, revealed on Reddit’s “Am I the A——?” forum that she had been craving steak and sour cream baked potatoes almost daily and had been making the dish for herself while also preparing meals for her children and fiancé.

The issue arose when her fiancé unexpectedly expressed a desire for the meal she had made for herself instead of the one she had cooked for the family, which included baked pizza spaghetti with fried catfish, salad, and dinner rolls. Despite having only cooked one steak, the woman explained that she needed to eat all of her food as she was eating for two. Her fiancé then accused her of using pregnancy as an excuse to be selfish.

The woman was taken aback by her fiancé’s reaction, as she had been eating the same meal without complaints until that point. Reddit users overwhelmingly supported the woman, criticizing her fiancé for his behavior and lack of consideration. They commended her for already preparing separate meals to accommodate her cravings and the needs of her family, emphasizing that her fiancé’s reaction was unreasonable and unfair.

“It is essential to prioritize your well-being. If steak is crucial to him, he should take responsibility and cook it himself next time. You are nurturing a new life within you and shouldn’t have to deal with a grown man behaving like a child over a meal. If he desires steak, he should communicate his preference early on, before dinner preparation or grocery shopping. Trying to take away half of his pregnant wife’s meal is selfish. NTA. Hopefully, this incident isn’t indicative of future behavior,” another individual commented.
