Mourinho sat out the first game of his suspension on Sunday as Fenerbahce secured a 4-1 victory over Trabzonspor. He will also miss upcoming league matches against Sivasspor and Kayserispor. The Turkish soccer federation imposed a fine of approximately $7,700 on Mourinho.The altercation occurred after Galatasaray’s 2-1 win over Fenerbahce in the Turkish Cup last Wednesday. Mourinho, a prominent figure in Fenerbahce, was seen reaching out from behind Buruk and making contact with his nose, causing Buruk to fall to the ground clutching his face before Mourinho was led away. Fenerbahce later accused Buruk of exaggerating his reaction to the incident by throwing himself to the ground as if he had been seriously injured.
