Fatal Texas Car Crash Leaves 5 Dead and Dozens Injured!

Authorities have reported that a car crash in Texas, allegedly caused by a drunk driver, has resulted in the deaths of at least five individuals and left over a dozen others injured. The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Solomun Weldekeal Araya, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of intoxication manslaughter and assault in connection to the incident. The Austin Police Department shared Araya’s mugshot on Facebook, but did not provide further details about the crash or the suspect’s identification process. Araya is currently in custody at Travis County Jail, with legal representation status unclear. The tragic collision occurred on I-35 southbound on March 13, involving a semi-truck and multiple vehicles. Emergency responders confirmed five fatalities, including three adults, one child, and one infant. Furthermore, 17 individuals sustained injuries, with 11 requiring hospitalization for various severity levels. The National Transportation Safety Board has initiated a safety investigation into the crash in collaboration with the APD.
