Typically manifesting within a period of 1 to 4 weeks after ingesting tainted food, these symptoms can also appear as early as the same day or as late as 70 days following consumption. Afflicted individuals may experience a range of distressing symptoms including headaches, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions, coupled with fever and muscle aches. For pregnant individuals, the risks are particularly dire, with potential complications including miscarriage, premature delivery, and life-threatening infections in newborns.
