Jonathan Belk, aged 41, has been accused of murdering 18-year-old Billy J. Floyd after allegedly finding him in bed with his 31-year-old wife, Jada Gholston. The incident occurred early Saturday when Belk came home and discovered the pair together. Floyd’s body was later found in a garbage can at Gholston’s residence in Dunlap.
When police responded to the scene, they found Belk covered in blood with cuts on his hands. Initially, Gholston claimed that a man had attacked her boyfriend in bed. Belk expressed concern that the killing might impact his marriage, stating, “I am worried about my relationship with my wife due to the fact that I offed him.”
Belk is currently held on criminal homicide charges, with a bond hearing set for March 21. Floyd, affectionately known as “Lil Bill,” enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Sheriff Bill Phillips stated that the fatal stabbing appears to be an isolated incident, with no further danger to the community.
