Fatal Encounter East Harlem Man, 62, Stabs NYC Boy!

A man from East Harlem has been charged with second-degree murder and assault for allegedly fatally stabbing a teenage boy during a heated dispute in Manhattan, as reported by the police. The incident began shortly after 6 p.m. in the vicinity of East 108th St. and Second Ave., where law enforcement officials stated that a confrontation between two men and a teenager escalated into physical violence. The violent altercation took place at the intersection of East 108th St. and Second Ave. in East Harlem. Saul Sanchez, a 62-year-old resident of East Harlem, is facing charges of second-degree murder along with other offenses related to the fatal stabbing.

According to authorities, Saul Sanchez allegedly stabbed Carlos Rivas in the chest and lower abdomen, resulting in Rivas, a 17-year-old, succumbing to his injuries at Harlem Hospital. In addition to Rivas, a third individual, a 22-year-old man, was stabbed in the left arm during the altercation. Both injured men were transported to local hospitals and are reported to be in stable condition. Sanchez himself sustained a cut on his forehead during the incident.

Alongside the charges of second-degree murder and assault, Saul Sanchez is also being charged with possession of a weapon. He was apprehended by law enforcement on Saturday following the fatal stabbing incident in East Harlem.
