Exclusive Gene Hackman’s Daughter’s Unusual Wish for Deceased Dog’s Resting Place!

Elizabeth Hackman, daughter of the late Gene Hackman, has shared her wishes for the burial arrangements involving her father and the deceased pet of Betsy Arakawa. Following the tragic discovery of the actor and his wife in their Santa Fe residence last month, it was brought to light that one of their three dogs, an Australian Kelpie, had also passed away and was found near Arakawa. In recently released police footage from February 27, Elizabeth can be heard discussing her desire to have the dog cremated and buried alongside her stepmother, Betsy. She also requested that the dog’s collar be saved for her. The canine, known as Zinfandel or “Zinna,” was located a short distance from Arakawa, who had succumbed to natural causes, specifically Hantavirus. The medical examiner revealed that Gene Hackman’s cause of death was attributed to severe heart disease, with advanced Alzheimer’s disease as a significant factor. There is speculation that the couple’s dog may have perished from lack of sustenance and water, considering the circumstances surrounding its owners’ passing. The couple’s two remaining German Shepherds were found unharmed, with the Santa Fe County Animal Control Division ensuring their well-being.
