Exclusive DeAnna Pappas Breaks Silence Post-Arrest!

DeAnna Pappas recently addressed the public regarding her arrest in February following an altercation with her ex-husband, Stephen Stagliano, during a custody exchange. Stagliano accused Pappas of being intoxicated and assaulting him, while Pappas claimed he pushed her first. Pappas took to her Instagram Stories on April 3 to share a statement, stating that detectives concluded she was not the primary aggressor.

In the statement released by a spokesperson on her behalf, Pappas voluntarily withdrew a temporary restraining order in the interest of their children’s well-being to avoid prolonged conflict and public exposure. The statement emphasized Pappas’ commitment to protecting her children from further distress and safeguarding their privacy under the law.

It was requested that the media refrain from speculative reporting that could impact the emotional well-being of the children. The statement clarified that the legal process is underway, and Pappas would not be making further comments at that time.

DeAnna Pappas and Stephen Stagliano, who were married for 11 years before finalizing their divorce in June 2024, have two children together. Court documents revealed that Stagliano’s mother claimed to have detected alcohol on Pappas’ breath during a custody exchange. Pappas responded to this claim, alleging that Stagliano had attempted to smell her breath to check for alcohol during the exchange.

The ongoing legal process will address the matter appropriately, with Pappas focused on safeguarding her children’s well-being and privacy.

“In court documents, DeAnna Pappas stated that Stephen repeatedly prevented her garage door from closing by pushing it upwards. Despite her demands for him to leave, Stephen refused to comply. Pappas recounted that she attempted to close the garage door again, only for Stephen to intervene once more by pushing it up with his hand. The situation escalated further when Stagliano threatened to call the police and physically prevented Pappas from closing the garage door, prompting her to call a friend out of fear for her safety. Pappas alleged that Stephen stole items from the garage, leading to a physical altercation where he forcefully shoved her.

Following the incident, Pappas claimed that Stagliano accused her of being drunk and initiated domestic violence charges against her, alleging that she was the aggressor. Pappas voluntarily underwent drug and alcohol testing after being released from jail, testing negative. She refuted Stagliano’s claims of her being an alcoholic, stating that they were fabricated to manipulate the situation and alienate her from their children.

Pappas and Stagliano, who share joint custody of their children, have agreed not to speak negatively about each other in front of the kids and to refrain from excessive alcohol consumption during custody periods.”
