Exciting young talent introduced to the high-stakes drama of the Champions League.

PARIS (AP) — The much-anticipated debut of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in a Paris Saint-Germain jersey is on the horizon as his new squad gears up to face off against fellow Ligue 1 contender Brest in a pivotal showdown this week. Paris Saint-Germain will be hitting the road to clash with Brest at the Stade de Roudourou in the opening leg of their playoff match slated for Tuesday.

Having recently showcased their prowess with a commanding 4-1 victory over Monaco, during which Kvaratskhelia notched his inaugural goal for the club, the French league leaders are riding a wave of momentum into this upcoming fixture. The talented Georgian winger made the high-profile move from Napoli, with a hefty price tag of around 70 million euros ($72 million), in the midst of the winter transfer window. Although his arrival at Paris Saint-Germain occurred in mid-January, he had to bide his time to make his Champions League debut until the conclusion of the league phase.

Under the guidance of PSG coach Luis Enrique, a carefully selected group of 20 players has been assembled for the imminent clash against Brest. However, the squad will have to navigate this challenge without the services of midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery, who is sidelined due to injury.
