ABC has officially renewed five unscripted series for the upcoming 2025-2026 television season: “American Idol,” “Shark Tank,” “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,” “Celebrity Jeopardy!” and “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”
For its 24th season overall and ninth season on ABC, “American Idol” will be returning with judges Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, and Carrie Underwood, alongside host Ryan Seacrest.
“Shark Tank” has been renewed for its 17th season, featuring investors Barbara Corcoran, Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, Kevin O’Leary, and Daniel Lubetzky, who joined full time in Season 16.
Hosted by Pat Sajak and Vanna White, “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” will return for its sixth season, while “Celebrity Jeopardy!” hosted by Ken Jennings, is set for its fourth season. “America’s Funniest Home Videos” hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro is also renewed for its 36th season.
This announcement precedes Disney’s presentation at the upcoming upfronts, and includes the renewal of shows like “Bachelor in Paradise,” “Celebrity Family Feud,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “The Golden Bachelor,” “Match Game,” and “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.”
As for scripted series, the fate of “Doctor Odyssey” is pending, while new seasons have been greenlit for “9-1-1,” “Abbott Elementary,” “High Potential,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Rookie,” “Shifting Gears,” and “Will Trent.” Additionally, a new “9-1-1” spinoff titled “9-1-1: Nashville” has been ordered.
