A fascinating new attraction has just been unveiled in the enchanting city of Paris – a suspension bridge like no other. This innovative structure is entirely enclosed and supported by parallel and lateral cables, promising an exhilarating experience for all who dare to cross it.
The official website proudly declares the bridge’s robustness, assuring visitors that it can withstand a remarkable resistance of 30,000 kg/m². With a touch of playful bravado, it boldly proclaims: “The only risk is that you’ll want to do it again.”
Crafted by the skilled hands of French company Arboricorde, renowned for their expertise in high rope and treetop net courses, this awe-inspiring bridge features sewing techniques inspired by the intricate patterns of fishing nets.
Previously known for their suspended net installation beneath the iconic glass dome of Galeries Lafayette in Paris, as part of the department store’s whimsical Funorama theme, Arboricorde has once again pushed the boundaries of imagination with this latest creation.
The suspended bridge is designed as a floating playground, situated an impressive 50ft above the bustling shopping center floor, offering a unique perspective of the surroundings.
Strict safety measures are in place to ensure an unforgettable but secure experience. Only a maximum of four individuals are permitted on the bridge at any given time, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Those with severe vertigo are advised against attempting the thrilling adventure.
Dubbed “Vertigo of the Tower,” this attraction is free for ticket holders and will be operational until March 9. Visitors are required to register for a designated time slot on the first floor, with opening hours from 10.30am to 6.30pm daily, extending to 8pm on weekends.
To maintain a harmonious atmosphere, certain rules must be adhered to, including no running, jumping, high heels, or consumption of food and drinks while on the bridge. Additionally, once embarked on this daring journey, there is no turning back – only forward into the unknown.
This suspension bridge joins a series of exhilarating experiences introduced at the iconic Eiffel Tower in recent years. From the thrilling zip line on the second floor, propelling riders at speeds of up to 100kmph across the sprawling Champ de Mars green space, to the enchanting mini skating rink on the tower’s first floor during winter months, visitors are continually treated to new and exciting adventures.
