Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson reprise their roles in this sequel, but for the anticipated live-action remake of ‘Moana’ set for 2026, Cravalho has passed the torch to a new leading lady to take on the iconic role. However, Johnson will reprise his role as Maui in the upcoming remake.
