Elderly Colorado Woman Mauled to Death by Dogs Daughter Charged with Neglect!

A 47-year-old woman from Colorado has been arrested in connection with the death of her elderly mother, who was reportedly attacked by dogs in what authorities described as unsanitary living conditions. Jessica Hoff has been charged with criminal negligence resulting in death, along with 54 counts of aggravated animal cruelty, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest of Hoff on Friday followed a call to the sheriff’s office on Feb. 3 reporting an unconscious woman. Deputies who responded to the scene found LaVonne Hoff, 76, unresponsive, with multiple dogs loose in the home and more found on the property. LaVonne Hoff was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation revealed that she had been left alone while her daughter ran errands, despite needing round-the-clock care for dementia. The sheriff’s office determined that she was attacked by the dogs during this time. The cause of death was attributed to a dog attack during an autopsy. Upon executing a search warrant on the residence and another property owned by Jessica Hoff in Colorado City, authorities found a total of 54 dogs and seven birds in unsanitary conditions, with many dogs in poor health. Jessica Hoff is currently in custody and is set to appear in court on Thursday. No attorney has been listed in court records as representing her.
