Drama Unleashed Lopez vs Lopez Canceled After Three Seasons at NBC!

Variety has learned that NBC has decided to cancel “Lopez vs. Lopez” after three seasons. The multi-cam comedy starred George Lopez alongside his daughter, Mayan Lopez, as well as cast members Selenis Leyva, Brice Gonzalez, Matt Shively, and Al Madrigal.

Debby Wolfe co-created the series with the Lopezes and served as an executive producer, along with George Lopez, Bruce Helford, Michael Rotenberg, and Katie Newman. The show also had co-executive producers Lesley Wake Webster, Marcos Luevanos, Keith Heisler, and Dan Signer, while Mayan Lopez and Marc Solakian worked as producers, and Erica Harrell and Desiree Proctor as co-producers.

The third season of the show follows George as he deals with his sobriety and the challenges of aging, while Rosie shares her thoughts on the upcoming wedding and reflects on her previous engagement. Meanwhile, Chance, their 9-year-old son, begins to rebel against his parents as he asserts his independence.

George Lopez has previously starred in comedies such as “George Lopez,” “Lopez,” and “Saint George,” as well as hosting the talk show “Lopez Tonight” on TBS.

“Lopez vs. Lopez” was the last NBC comedy series awaiting news on renewal before the upcoming NBCUniversal upfront presentation on May 12. Additionally, it was reported that “Night Court” had also been canceled after three seasons. Other shows like “Happy’s Place” and “St. Denis Medical” were renewed for second seasons, while announcements are still pending for several other new and returning series.
