Title: A New Favorite Mac and Cheese Find
Like many families with children, my household goes through a lot of mac and cheese. It’s a pantry essential that always comes to the rescue on busy days when hunger strikes quickly. While I didn’t grow up with the boxed version (my childhood quick meal was frozen dumplings), I’ve explored various brands and flavors over the years, from the classic blue-boxed Kraft to store brands.
Annie’s was our go-to mac and cheese for a long time until we stumbled upon Goodles. Simply Recipes contributor Stephanie Ganz has already expressed her family’s love for Goodles, and I completely agree. Recently, Goodles introduced a new “deluxe” version that has taken our hearts. Priced at just $3.99, it has become our new favorite – affordable and delicious.
Goodles Mac and Cheese With Liquid Sauce is priced at $3.99 for a 9-ounce box at Target. The convenience it offers is unmatched compared to the powdered cheese version. The larger size means one box can easily feed my family of three with leftovers for my son’s lunch the next day.
The squeezy cheese mac from Goodles is incredibly convenient. Instead of using milk and butter for the powdered version, the deluxe version includes a ready-to-use cheese sauce packet. Simply cook the pasta, add the sauce, and stir – making a quick meal even quicker.
One of the standout features is the generous portion size. The deluxe version contains nine ounces of mac and cheese, more than the typical six ounces in the powdered version. This means we always have leftovers for my son’s lunch.
In terms of taste and texture, the squeezy cheese mac is creamier than the powdered version, enhancing the cheese flavor. Its velvety consistency adds a touch of indulgence. Both kids and adults in my household love it.
Currently, there are only two flavors available in the squeezy cheese line – “Ched Over Heels” and “Shell We Dance.” Despite limited options, I’m eagerly awaiting new flavors. In the meantime, you can find me stocking up on both varieties of Goodles Mac and Cheese With Liquid Sauce at the grocery store.
