Discover the Most Neglected Area to Clean in Your Home! These Tips Make All the Difference!

Thumbtack recently published a report on spring cleaning habits and attitudes. Among the insights provided in the report, one particular area in homes seems to be consistently overlooked. Through a survey conducted with over 1,000 adults, it was revealed that a significant portion of individuals have neglected a specific cleaning task.

While tasks like decluttering closets and deep cleaning bathrooms are often postponed, there is one chore that stands out as the most neglected by Thumbtack users. Surprisingly, over a quarter of respondents admitted to never having cleaned this particular area in their homes.

According to the survey findings, a notable 33% of participants admitted to not being diligent about cleaning their windows, while 25% confessed to never having cleaned their curtains before. With spring being an ideal time for rejuvenation and enjoying the beauty of nature, ensuring clean windows becomes essential for welcoming sunlight and admiring blooming gardens.

Experts from Thumbtack recommend starting with cleaning curtains before moving on to windows to prevent dust accumulation. Cloth curtains can be washed in the machine or by hand, while blinds can be dusted off with a cloth before wiping them down. For window cleaning, a window cleaner or homemade solution can effectively remove dirt and grime, ensuring streak-free results.

Exterior window cleaning, especially for multi-story homes, may require professional assistance or careful DIY methods. Utilizing a long-handled window wiper and following a proper cleaning process can help achieve sparkling results. Additionally, cleaning window tracks with a handheld vacuum or wet rag can ensure a thorough cleaning of all window surfaces.
