Denver Police Arrest Man in Weekend Stabbings that Killed 2!

DENVER (AP) — Denver police announced on Monday that an individual has been taken into custody in relation to a series of violent stabbings over the weekend which resulted in the death of two individuals in the city. The apprehension of the suspect occurred following an incident in which a person was stabbed in the vicinity of the 16th Street Mall, a bustling shopping district in downtown Denver, on Sunday evening. Tragically, the victim succumbed to their injuries after being transported to a nearby medical facility. The Denver Police Department conveyed this information in official statements released to the press.

Subsequent to the initial arrest, law enforcement officials revealed that the individual in custody was also suspected to be involved in a trio of stabbings that transpired in the same area on Saturday evening. Among the victims of the Saturday attacks, one woman tragically lost her life while two others sustained injuries. At this juncture, the name of the apprehended suspect has not been disclosed by authorities.

Prior to the apprehension, the police had indicated that there appeared to be no discernible connection between the suspect and the victims from Saturday’s incidents, and the motive behind the attacks remained unclear. In a notable development, shortly before the stabbing incident on Sunday, law enforcement had disseminated a surveillance image to the public depicting an individual clad in black, urging community assistance in identifying and locating this person.
