The woman explained that she opted to do her own makeup with a full-glam style, including heavier blush, false lashes, and a dark lip, as the makeup artist hired for the wedding typically specialized in a more natural aesthetic preferred by the rest of the bridal party. Despite no issues during the event, Katrina later accused the woman of intentionally trying to outshine her and look better than her by doing her own makeup. The Reddit community sided with the bride, emphasizing the importance of bridesmaids following a similar style chosen by the bride for the wedding day. The woman defended her choice by sharing a photo of her makeup look, highlighting that it was not significantly different from her usual full-glam style.
In her post, she mentioned, “I shared the makeup look, which appeared to be normal, and I doubt anyone would think, ‘Oh my god, she outshone the bride with that makeup.’ I’m not self-absorbed; there’s a concept known as high maintenance.” Another comment pointed out, “You crossed a line.
