Child Defends Home, Shoots and Kills Intruders in Kentucky!

A courageous young defender in Kentucky fatally shot two home invaders in an act of self-defense after they attempted to steal firearms from a safe within a residence, as reported by the Manchester and Kentucky State police departments. The home invasion took place on a Saturday around 4:24 a.m., according to details shared in a Facebook post on Sunday. Upon responding to the child’s home in Clay County, Manchester police officers discovered two individuals who had been shot, the social media update reveals.

Kentucky State Police troopers, summoned by Manchester police to aid in the investigation, determined that the two men who were injured had forcibly entered the home with the intent of pilfering guns from a safe, states the department’s Facebook post. The presence of any other adults in the home at the time remains unclear.

During the course of the break-in, the child residing at the home spotted the armed intruders and, acting in self-defense, retrieved a handgun and shot both men before fleeing through a bedroom window, according to law enforcement officials. The two individuals who lost their lives were later identified as 44-year-old Roger D. Smith from McKee, Kentucky, and 51-year-old Jeffrey M. Allen from Manchester. Smith passed away while en route to a hospital, while Allen was pronounced dead at the scene, police disclosed.

Both men were declared deceased by the Clay County Coroner over the weekend, as indicated in the Facebook post. Authorities mentioned that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
