Rainfall amounts of 2-5 inches, with isolated higher amounts, were forecasted. Kerrville police reported significant rainfall and urged caution near the Guadalupe River. Rescue efforts may extend for several months, with support from various agencies and government officials.
Meanwhile, tragic events unfolded at Camp Mystic, where delays in evacuating campers led to devastating consequences. The camp director and several campers lost their lives in the flood. Volunteers, who had been assisting in rescue operations, were asked to evacuate due to the impending severe weather.

The agency advises against sharing personal information or financial details with anyone claiming to be a FEMA housing inspector. In San Saba County, the San Saba River has exceeded 30 feet, prompting local officials to issue a mandatory evacuation for parts of the city. As heavy rains continue to slam the area, with significant rainfall reported in various counties, residents are urged to seek higher ground and stay vigilant. The recent flooding events have led to a tragic loss of life and significant damage, underscoring the importance of preparedness and swift action in response to natural disasters.
