His doctor, Antonio Macedo, stated that medication is being used to alleviate the pain caused by an intestinal obstruction. Bolsonaro will undergo further tests, including a CT scan and an MRI, to determine if surgery is necessary. If surgery is required, he may be transferred to Sao Paulo, where he had previously received medical care after a stabbing incident in 2018.
